a 10 week workshop series for BIPOC survivors wanting to explore impact of sexual trauma on the mind, body, heart, + spirit; will learn tools that support discovering home in the body, African spirituality as a healing option, and trauma informed yoga/embodiment practice in a small community of survivors. to support the healing of survivors, you’re invited to make a contribution here.

dr shena is adamant about nourishing a world that brings ancient healing traditions forward into our modern reality with integrity, reverence, and respect. as both a MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) psychedelic-assisted trained therapist and student of ceremony, she appreciates the braid they create together and believes this is an auspicious portal.  dr shena welcomes BIPOC recently completing a psychedelic plant medicine journey looking to process + integrate their experience. *dr shena does not offer or have access to psychedelic medicines*

trauma informed care training

the trauma informed care training explores types of trauma and holistic impact, neurobiology of trauma, core trauma informed care principles, how to minimize re-traumatization, responding to triggers, compassion fatigue & more. participants will be invited to participate in self reflection exercises, guided meditations, & will receive an exclusive digital workbook to supplement learning experience and expansion.

on-set wellbeing

creatives shift our world forward, and it’s our sacred responsibility to ensure that they are held.  partner with dr shena to provide emotional/psychological support for cast, crew, and creative collective on-set, offering real time care, trauma-informed care consultation/training, culturally sensitive interventions that promote an environment of inclusion and belonging; and aftercare + resourcing/referrals for scripted and unscripted productions.
